Mid-Year Top 25!

If I’m being honest, if 2024 ended today, I would have no qualms about placing a bow on this playlist.

345 songs at a length of almost an actual day, this playlist lists everything from Taylor Swift, IDLES, Ariana Grande, Charli xcx, Beyonce, Waxahatchee, Kacey Musgraves, The Last Dinner Party, Kali Uchis, Vampire Weekend, Mannequin Pussy, Neil Young, Lil Yachty and James Blake, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Mach-Hommy, Omar Apollo....... phew. I mean this truly a staggering list if I stopped right there! But I can add so much more to this list, including a staggering amount of Below Radar and Hidden Gem artists well under a million listeners on Spotify.

My Top 25 songs reflect my absolute favorites of what has been a stellar year. These songs each have a story of instant adoration or slow-morphing enthusiasm. Ranking is silly, but I love the conversations these things bring about.

And yes, I know my Top Song of “Nothing Matters” by The Last Dinner Party is a 2023 release, but I don’t care. I’m typically slow on catching singles and typically wait for albums to drop, so fuck it!
